Malva Knoll – Director of Education
Ms. Knoll taught with Albuquerque Public Schools for 25 years before joining the museum staff in 2007. Originally from Colorado, Malva earned her B.S. in Biology and Chemistry at Colorado State University Pueblo. She holds a M.S. in Secondary and Adult Education from the University of New Mexico. Ms. Knoll was an active member of the writing team for the NM State Science Standards. She worked for their passage in the legislature as President of the NM Academy of Science. Ms. Knoll brings a science educator’s perspective to the programs at the museum. She is involved in all aspects of education programs, coordinates events with other Albuquerque museums, and administers educational grant programs at the museum.

Sarah Fair – Museum Programs Presenter and Reservation Coordinator
Ms. Fair holds a B.A. in psychology from Roanoke College. She has years of experience designing and implementing interactive and experiential-based social studies curricula at the mid and high school levels. Ms. Fair came to New Mexico eight years ago from the Philadelphia area to teach at a private school here in Albuquerque. Since joining the museum staff in May 2005 she has been working hard to update and create new programs for the already existing Learning Adventures programs as well as coordinating all of the educational bookings at the museum. Sue Taylor - Education Coordinator Up ‘N’ Atom Outreach Programs
Outreach educator Sue Taylor is a Florida native who joined the museum staff in 2006. She brings a Masters in Museum Education from the College of William and Mary and over 30 years experience working in a variety of settings from running a house for George Washington to science and the environment.
With the help of Albert Einstein Sue travels to schools around New Mexico delivering fun, hands on programs on the three R’s – Radiation, Robots, Rockets and other inspiring science labs for all grades, including discovery programs for the youngest. Some of her favorite toys include Geiger counters, cloud chambers, cold light, Tesla Coil, telescope and radioactive surprises from your kitchen cabinet. Jessica Coyle – Enrichment Education Coordinator
Miss Coyle holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Hood College and a M.A.T. in Museum Education from The George Washington University. She worked as an elementary educator and as a museum educator for the National Building Museum and the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center in the Washington D.C. area before moving to Albuquerque in 2006. As Enrichment Education Coordinator, Miss Coyle coordinates the National Atomic Museum’s Science is Everywhere Summer Camps, oversees the hands-on area for children and families, and instructs all after-school programs offered at the museum. Call on Ms. Coyle for summer camp and extended classes offered during the school year.
